Come and join us for a brilliant day of fun, food, stalls, games and community at the St John’s Summer Fayre.
Our Summer Fayre is one of the highlights of the year: a chance for the whole community to come together, enjoy a relaxed summer afternoon, and support the life and work of St John’s Church here in Wortley and Farnley.
Whether you are a regular at St John’s, have only been once or twice, used to come years ago, or have never stepped through the doors before, you are warmly invited. Bring the children, invite your friends, call in with neighbours, or just pop along for a cuppa and a wander round the stalls. Everyone is welcome.

There will be plenty for all ages to enjoy, including:
* Stalls and games
* Raffle
* Tombola
* Teddy tombola
* Cakes and refreshments
* Bouncy castle
* Family fun
* Local community stalls
* A chance to meet others and enjoy the day together
It will be a relaxed, friendly event with something for everyone. Come for the whole time, or just drop in for half an hour — we would love to see you.

The Summer Fayre is not only a lovely community day, it also helps raise important funds for the work of St John’s Church.
St John’s is here for the whole parish: for Sunday worship, baptisms, weddings and funerals; for children and families; for community groups; for pastoral care; for prayer; and for those moments in life when people need somewhere to turn.
Every cake bought, ticket purchased, stall visited and donation given helps us continue that work and keep serving the people of Wortley and Farnley.

The Summer Fayre is about more than stalls and games. It is about community. It is about neighbours meeting neighbours, families having fun, children laughing, people catching up, and the church being a place of welcome in the heart of Wortley and Farnley.
