The Welcome Home Festival is our way of saying, “You belong here.” It’s a weekend packed with creativity, music, laughter, and friendship. At the heart of it all is a simple idea: we want to celebrate the gifts of our community – whether that’s painting, baking, singing, or simply showing up with a smile. Expect a vibrant art exhibition, a brilliant Saturday night concert, a raffle full of fantastic prizes, and plenty of time to connect over food, stories, and shared joy. The weekend is shaped around a community art show, as well as a concert on the Saturday evening, Messy Church on Saturday afternoon, a BBQ, and special Sunday services.
This is your chance to let your imagination shine! We’re looking for all kinds of art: paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, textiles, poetry, and anything else you create. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or someone who hasn’t picked up a paintbrush in years, your contribution will help fill our exhibition with colour and life. Art has a way of telling our stories, sparking conversations, and bringing people together – and we’d love your work to be part of it. Create something on the theme of 'Welcome Home' and drop it off the week running up to the show.
Saturday evening is all about music, joy, and community spirit. Our special concert will feature a lively barbershop quartet and a rousing brass band, guaranteed to get your toes tapping. Bring friends, family, and neighbours – the more the merrier! Tickets are just £5 in advance or £6 on the door. Come along, enjoy the music, and soak up the atmosphere.
Our raffle is packed with amazing prizes generously donated by local businesses and friends of the church. From luxury hampers to gift vouchers, handmade goods to special experiences – there’s something for everyone. Tickets are only £1 each, and every purchase helps support the work of our church in the community. Why not take a book of tickets to sell to friends and family?
